NeoStrata Chemical Peels

Reveal younger skin in weeks. Cosmetic peels will enhance your appearance and self-confidence. Chemical peels may also remove pre- cancerous skin growths, soften acne facial scars, and even control acne.

Chemical peels are most commonly performed using alpha hydroxyacids. These are naturally occurring acids found in fruits and other foods. Alpha hydroxyacids have proven to be effective in treating dry skin, acne, liver or sun spots, diminishing fine facial wrinkles, decreasing pore size, and improving skin texture. Light peels are usually performed in a series of six to eight peels, each peel four to six weeks apart. This type of peel leaves the skin with a red glow that only lasts for a day or so

Acne

Acne is usually caused by oily skin. Unfortunately over the counter and even prescription medications are often not completely successful in the treatment of acne. Using some degree of exfoliation is sometimes a crucial part of the treatment. Excellent exfoliation can be achieved using a variety of chemical peels (Skin Medica - vitalize peels, Salicylic acid peels, Jessner Peels, or Neostrata peels). In between peels, good daily exfoliation can be achieved with selected Skin Medica, Obagi, or Neostrata products. Some products that seem to work particularly well are listed below.
